Epetōme Probiotic Supplement

Epetōme Probiotic Supplement

Epetōme Probiotic Supplement

Epetōme Probiotic Supplement

I was kindly gifted a 4 month supply of Epetōme, the synbiotic duo cap.

Epetōme is a probiotic supplement that contains 11 clinically trialled bacterial strains, plus FOS Fibre (to feed the live bacteria in the capsule), Vitamin D (for normal muscle function), Zinc (for immune support), and Biotin (for gut mucose health) in an innovative Duo cap® design that helps the bacteria reach the gut alive 30x more effectively than a standard capsule.

What I really like about Epetōme is that it is convenient to store (doesn't need refrigerating) and you only need to take one easy-to-swallow capsule a day.

I've been taking them for a couple of weeks and noticed that my abdomen was flatter due to less bloating! I also experienced no major breakouts while taking Epetōme, which is great if you are acne-prone like me.

I also love the packaging it comes in, beautifully boxed, containing a leaflet and green frosted glass jar inside.

With bacteria strains that have trials and/or studies showing their ability to help with digestive issues, immune support, skin health, allergies and cognitive function, Epetōme is a convenient way to improve your gut health in one easy step.

I would recommend trying Epetōme (especially in the run-up to a big life event) for improved gut health, and also clearer skin.

Tokyo Police Club at Trafalgar Square

Tokyo Police Club at Trafalgar Square in London 30 June 2024. Canada Day

Tokyo Police Club at Trafalgar Square in London 30 June 2024. Canada Daywith Dave Monks of Tokyo Police Club

It is Canada Day today, and to celebrate there was an event at Trafalgar Square in London yesterday.

The event was free, Tokyo Police Club were the the main act, and as it was their only concert date in the whole of Europe in their farewell tour, so I could not miss it!

They opened with Breakneck Speed and played lots of songs, including many of my favourites.

They played Favorite Color, New Blues, Nature Of The Experiment, Hands Reversed, Bambi, End Of A Spark, Argentina Part I, Wait Up (Boots of Danger), Tessellate, Simple Dude, Be Good, Hang Your Heart, Hot Tonight, Box.

For the encore they played Your English Is Good and Cheer It On (from what I remember)

Wish they played Citizens Of Tomorrow but they didn't - should have requested it when they asked on Instagram!

I wanted to record their whole show but I also wanted to dance and sing which pretty much spoils any footage if you try to do both so I had to find the right balance!

The band started their set early, before their allotted 7:20 starting time, and also came back for an encore of 2 more songs, which was amazing!

After the encore we left slowly and I saw Dave coming out the backstage area towards were I had just been (front row, under the stage). I called him and asked if I could have a picture, and he said "Yeah, yeah" but kept on walking so I was walking beside him for a few seconds until he said "I'll come back". I waited there for a moment until I realised where he had gone, so went back to meet him and I got my picture (well, 3).

There were a few people still standing near the front so it makes sense that he wanted to go and meet them before they all left.

I said to him "I was at the front" and he replied "I saw you", then I said I loved the show, can't remember what he replied, then Dot also said to him that he liked the show, and we left. Not sure if the rest of the band also came out afterwards but I'm so happy I had the chance to see them one last time and even got a picture with Dave. Posted some of these pictures on my stories and TPC liked one of them.

Hoping for a 20th anniversary reunion!🥺

Always Infinity

Always Infinity

I received a pack of Always Infinity size 2 to test and review.

It is designed with SmartFoam to absorb 10x its weight, be super thin and light so you barely feel it, and with micro holes and channels to pull liquid down for a dry feeling and to protect from leakage.

These pads truly are super absorbent and forgot I was wearing them when turning in the middle of the night (IYKYK) as they are very light!

They are very comfortable to wear. The perforated design did make me a bit nervous, however, there were no leaks at all, and it helped drain fluid down to the base of the pad, keeping the top dry and fresh.

The only downside was that as they are so absorbent and drying I felt like they also stripped moisture from my skin which wasn't ideal but for heavier days I will definitely be using these.

Find Always Infinity at Boots.

Fairy Silk Tree Blossom & Jasmine

Fairy Silk Tree Blossom & Jasmine

Last month I received the Fairy Silk Tree Blossom & Jasmine collection to test and review:

Fairy Non Bio Platinum Pods
The pods have an overwhelming smell when opening the box but it mellows down as only one is used per load. My clothes look clean and smell nice.

Fairy Fresh Fabric Softener
This leaves my clothes soft and with a lovely scent that lasts even days after washing. I really like this fragrance as it is not overpowering. Only a small amount is needed, otherwise fabric can feel a bit heavy.

Fairy In-Wash Scent Boosters
I love that this can be used to prolong the scent of my laundry. Love the fragrance of this range, it is soft, floral, slightly sweet and also comforting. Great for bedding.

I really enjoyed the scent of this range and how quick and easy they are to use.

Have you tried this range?

The Kills at Troxy

Last night we went to see The Kills on their first UK show promoting their latest album, God Games. This is not long since seeing them on the presentation of the album (where I got a signed poster and picture with them too!) back in September at Rough Trade East.

Alison looked amazing and was all smiles, and asked the crowd a few times how they were. She wore skinny jeans, platform boots and a leopard print button-up shirt over a black t-shirt. Jamie wore an all-black ensemble consisting of leather jacket, t-shirt, straight jeans and light loafers.

The energetic duo performed a total of 20 songs (!) mostly from God Games. Wishing they played Last Day of Magic, which is an absolute favourite of mine.

Got lots of pictures and videos, check out the latter on the links in the Setlist below:

Spacegoods Rainbow Dust in Vanilla Cinnamon Flavour

Spacegoods Rainbow Dust in Vanilla Cinnamon Flavour

Last month I received a trial pack of Spacegoods Rainbow Dust in Vanilla Cinnamon Flavour.

Designed to increase focus and provide sustained energy throughout the day minus the jitters, it uses a blend of Lions Mane, Cordyceps, and Chaga Mushrooms; plus Ashwagandha, Maca, Rhodiola, Vitamin B5 and Coffee Extract.

This milky drink is very easy to prepare, just add the powder to a cup of hot or cold water and mix. It can be made creamier by adding to hot or cold milk instead.

Even though it is formulated with several mushroom and root extracts, there is no strange smell or taste, only a nice creamy, cinnamon flavour. This drink tastes quite sweet and has a slight bitter aftertaste from the stevia. It did tend to settle at the bottom of my cup but it is not unusual for powdered drinks to do this.

It generally takes me until the afternoon to get started with my day (see Regigigas' ability), however, within the first hour of drinking the Spacegoods Rainbow Dust I felt more awake and relaxed at the same time, even though I was unable to finish the whole drink as I found it too sweet towards the last third of the cup.

I would love to see a caffeine free option, sweetened with xylitol to avoid the bitter aftertaste.

Overall, a nice and interesting way to improve energy and mood in the morning.

The Kills live at Rough Trade East, God Games presentation 18 September 2023

The Kills live at Rough Trade East, God Games presentation 18 September 2023

On Monday we went to see The Kills' new album God Games presentation at Rough Trade East in London.

I've been following their musical journey for about 15 years and have seen them live with Dotcito at the Roundhouse a few years ago but this was a completely different experience and much more intimate as, even though the event sold out, only had 300 people capacity.

It was amazing, we heard a couple of songs off the yet-to-be-released album (including Going to Heaven, Love and Tenderness My Girls My Girls, Wasterpiece, Bullet Piece and Better Days), then there was an interview section where I even got to ask The Kills a question just for fun which made them laugh (I got nervous and think I stuttered and my voice broke!).

It was fascinating to watch Jamie and Alison interacting with each other, so cute!

After the panel they played a small acoustic set including 103 and New York from God Games, as well as some older songs: Baby Says and Pull a U.

At the end we got the chance to get a poster print signed and I even got a picture with them.

I loved Alison's Celine jacket as well as her shirt but I forgot to ask her where the latter was from. Also really liked Jamie's loafers!

I'm starting to build a collection of pictures alongside my indie rock idols (see my Peter Doherty at The Royal Albert Hall post). Just need one with Julian Casablancas now 🤭
