Basket Bag

Topshop Skirt

Bag from SMA // Topshop Skirt // H&M Blouse // Elie Tahari Sunglasses // Topshop Shoes

Love this basket bag that I got in San Miguel de Allende a couple of months ago - I've only been able to use it recently as it kept raining and I didn't want it to get ruined ha. I think it looks great with pretty much any outfit and on any season but you can't get it wet which is the only drawback.

Sample Sessions 02

this works In transit camera close-up and REN evercalm global protection day cream

Welcome to another instalment of Sample Sessions! These samples are quite generous and I've been using for some time so it's not so much a first impression as with the products in my last sample post.

This Works In Transit Camera Close-Up is a primer, moisturiser and mask in one meant to plump, even and brighten the skin instantly. It is a rich, creamy product that glides onto the skin without a greasy or sticky residue. It has a faint fruity or plant scent that doesn't linger. Moisturises very well and also makes skin appear smoother. I really like this product and can definitely feel a difference in the softness at the end of the day when I wash my face.

It features shea butter, argan oil, borage seed oil, caffeine, aloe vera, hyaluronic acid and bitter orange oil. The ingredients have changed a bit since I've had it and now include rose oil and retinol; and seems to include more hyaluronic acid and aloe vera as they appear higher on the ingredient list, which makes it even better in my opinion so I'd love to try the new version too and see how it compares.

REN Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream is a moisturising cream meant for sensitive skin. Something a bit disappointing is that it has no SPF in the formula so I do have to layer another product on top but I like to use it before my SPF if my skin is feeling a bit tight or dry.

It seems to calm skin and reduce redness, which is great and I also like that some of the first ingredients are camelia seed oil and sesame seed oil, both of which are good for oily and spot prone skin so I don't have to worry about it blocking pores or causing spots. Other great ingredients in this formula include shea butter, sunflower seed oil, cranberry and blackcurrant seed oils, seabuckthorn oil and calendula extract. The scent to me isn't great and reminds me of ham (?) but it doesn't bother me too much to stop using it.

Have you tried either of these products?

Sailor Moon Nails

Sailor Moon Nails

Sailor Moon Nails

Sailor Moon Nails

So, I never really kept up with Sailor Moon as I child because I would always miss it for some reason (I did remember the opening and ending songs, Serena, Rini, Tuxedo Mask and what Sailor Moon would say before confronting someone, though) and I finally decided to start watching the whole thing and must say I am obsessed

Needless to say, Sailor Moon was my inspiration for these nails, where I used Maybelline Ceramic Blue nail polish over a base coat, then used some Nails inc glitter on top, added a crescent moon on my thumb nails, finished by a topcoat, et voila.

Did you used to watch Sailor Moon?

Father's Day is coming around soon (Sunday 16th of June FYI) and if you can't decide on something to gift that special man in your life, take a look on get name necklace, which is a jewellery manufacturer that offers fashionable and personalised jewellery.

You can choose from necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, charms and even watches and cufflinks, plus each piece can be customised with your choice of name, initials, font, metal finish and stones to match your personal style. With a choice of all 12 birthstones and silver, gold and rose gold finishes, you are sure to find a design that perfectly suits your style.

Above are a few of my favourite pieces for men and women. For men, on the left: Couples Cutout Heart & Dog Tag Necklaces, Wooden Watch, Stainless Steel Bar Necklace, Handwriting Cuff Links, Square Monogram Ring, Engraved Infinity Bracelet. I love that you can add handwritten messages or personalise some items with more than just one word.

For women, on the right: Bottle with Heart Birthstone Necklace, Sunflower Key Necklace, Infinity Necklace with Birthstones, Tiara Birthstone Ring, Pearl with Wings and Ruby Heart Necklace, Name Necklace with Birthstone. The addition of birthstones on these pieces adds a touch of colour and makes it look extra feminine. My top 2 would have to be the pearl necklace and the tiara ring as they remind me of Sailor Moon, which I've been finally watching and been obsessed with lately.

At Get Name Necklace you can find a lot of options for treating someone (or yourself) while offering great quality and competitive prices. Just click on the link to see their full range.

They are having a Father's Day sale with money off orders over $39, plus there's free standard shipping with every order.

Sample Sessions 01

Sampling L'oreal shampoo, Nivea clay shower gel and Rituals sakura body cream. First impressions.

I'm always collecting samples from all over (i.e. magazines and sample giveaways online) which are a great way to try out new products, but then I never really document what I think of them so I've started this new series to follow my first impressions on the new things I've sampled.

Nivea Shower Clay with Ginger & Basil: I wasn't sure if I would like the basil and ginger scent but it actually smells more like lime to me so I really like the refreshing scent it has. It lathers lightly and leaves skin feeling clean and soft.

Rituals Sakura Magic Touch Body Cream: The cream feels quite thick at first but it absorbs quick, it lightly moisturises and leaves skin feeling velvety. I really like the faint cherry scent.

L'Oreal Botanicals Lavender Shampoo: It doesn't lather very much but still manages to leave hair and scalp feeling deeply cleansed. The scent is a bit overpowering but it's imperceptible after you come out of the shower.

Have you tried any of these products?
