Cute Summer Hair Accessories for Under £3

Cute Summer Hair Accessories for Under £3

Cute Summer Hair Accessories for Under £3

Just by chance I found possibly the cutest hair accessories for this season (I wasn't even on the lookout for any as I rarely wear anything on my hair) at none other than Primark and Poundland.

The claw clips were £2.50 for a set of 4 at Primark and the broderie anglaise headband was £2 from Poundland (though I did see Primark had their own version too!)

Everyday Shapewear at Durafits

*This is a sponsored post.

Plus Size Open Bust Body Shapewear Sale Open Bust Body Shaper With Side Zip

As the sun is starting to make its appearance more frequently every day for we are heading slowly but steadily towards summer, the idea of wearing lots of layers that will keep you warm as well as conceal your figure starts to sound less and less appealing.

Sometimes, especially after an extremely long period of way less physical activity than we would normally carry out, our fitness level can diminish, maybe our weight fluctuated, and our confidence might have gone down as our shape changed.

Which is where today's sponsor Durafits shapewear comes in, they have the radical belief that comfortable shapewear can be body positive, as their goal is to optimize life through cosy shapewear. Committed to providing high-quality, breathable and comfortable products, Durafits wants women of all shapes and sizes to be able to enjoy life and show off their natural unique beauty.

At Durafits you can find a variety of shaper shorts, which will help smooth your figure if you are worried about how any fitted trousers, shorts or dresses might look. Pictured above are a couple of my favourites: on the left we have a plus size option, these shapewear shorts offer breathable, comfortable soft compression to tone the tummy and hips, while enhancing the back. It features hook and eye closure and also helps improve posture. On the right we have a black open bust body shaper with a side zip. It has removable and adjustable straps, plastic bones to the sides of the garment to prevent rolling and a delicate lace trim on the legs.

All Day Invisible Bodysuit Shaper Sale Lycra Soft Cup Shaping Bodysuit

If you plan on wearing fitted tops or figure hugging dresses, then you might be interested in shapewear bodysuits, as they will help enhance the top part of your body. A couple of my favourites from Durafits are shown above: on the left is a great option for low cut tops as it features a deep v-neck design with adjustable wide straps for added support. On the right we have a nude coloured option for all your tops in light colours and sheer fabrics. This cling free fabric bodysuit has a scoop neckline with stretchy material over the bust for comfortable wear.

What are you planning to wear this summer?

Creating an Affordable Home Office

Creating an Affordable Home Office on a Budget

After the success of my previous interior design post where I shared how to build an affordable dressing room (it's one of my most popular posts ever) I thought about creating another post but this time aimed at building an affordable home office, as a lot of people began working from home and started new businesses during the last 12 months.

I really like modern, sleek and functional pieces of furniture, and everything featured in this post is under £100, so there's no excuse not to upgrade your home office as a nice workspace can help inspire you and increase productivity.

Comfortable Hoodies and Sweatshirts at Holapick

Comfortable Hoodies and Sweatshirts at Holapick

Sunnier days seem to be more common as of late, however it can still feel a bit chilly, and as many of us are spending time at home more than ever it is important to keep comfortable and warm. Which is where today's sponsor comes in: Holapick has dozens of hoodies and sweatshirts available to help keep you warm and stylish.

On the picture above you can see a couple of items that I picked and look like the most comfortable hoodies. On the left we have the Casual Long-sleeved Hooded Loose Sweater, which has a luxe green velvet textured fabric, a hood with drawstrings to make it adjustable and fit more snuggly, a front pocket, and decorative stripes along the sleeves in warm colours (the colour palette I find very reminiscent of Gucci, which is why I really like this hoodie). On the right we have a very cosy looking hoodie in a more oversized fit with an inviting forest scene printed all over. It has a fleece texture and would be perfect for going on an early morning or late afternoon walk to keep you toasty.

On to the sweatshirts: if you are not a fan of hoodies then these options might be better for you. On the left we have another super cosy top, this one has a tactile sherpa texture with a neutral brown plaid pattern all over. It features a working zip up closure on the front that can be opened to turn it into a v-neck with a collar, and also zipped all the way up to turn it into a high neck. On the right we have a more daring option with this cheeky skeleton hand print. It has some faded details to give it a more vintage look, a great casual outfit option. Winter Essentials at Holapick

 *This is a sponsored post.

Even though we are still staying at home for most of the time there's no reason to dress up even if it is just for yourself, plus making a bit of an effort on your appearance and looking cute will lift your spirits and in turn make you feel better and more positively about yourself and help you feel ready for the day. So with winter just a month away I want to share a couple of cute items from Holapick, featuring two of my favourite wardrobe pieces ever: coats and knitwear.

If you are looking for a new coat, Holapick has a ladies coat sale, where you can find really stylish and beautiful pieces like the ones pictured above. On the left we have the "Motorcycle deerskin cashmere lamb wool coat" in black, which has a really cool and casual vibe to it with all the buckle, belt and zip details in silver hardware contrasting against the black background. It features a diagonal zip closure and two zipped pockets on the front, as well as an adjustable belt on the bottom hem and it is fully lined in super warm sheepskin. On the right is the "Women Long Outerwear Warm Fashion Coat", which is a more dressed up option compared to the sheepskin jacket. This warm grey longline coat has 2 slit pockets to keep your hands warm, as well as a button closure and long lapels for a classic look.

At Holapick they also have dozens of trendy cardigans to choose from, with two of my favourites the ones shown above. On the left is the "Fashion Solid Color Loose Coat Jacket" which is a longline cardigan so long it could be mistaken for a duster coat, however this cardigan is super soft and the beige colour will go with absolutely everything. It has no button closure or pockets to keep the silhouette clean and has very wide lapels for extra cosiness and warmth around the chest area. On the right is the "Elegant Stylish Loose Leopard Print Long Sleeve Coat Cardigan" which features a very cool leopard print in the classic black and yellow colours, is knee length and oversized with extra wide sleeves, perfect for adding a very rock n' roll touch to your winter outfit.

Sensationail Peel Off Glitter Polish

Sensationail Peel Off Glitter Polish

Keeping with the nail theme from the last post, here is another super easy way to update your nails with the added benefit of not just sparkle, but also easy removal.

I'm talking about peel off glitter nail polish. If you've ever used glitter nail polish, you know what a pain it is to remove, but as this one is peel off, the process is reduced to just seconds instead of minutes.

Here is a glitter nail look I created with the Sensationail Peel Off Polish (the one I used was Set in Rhinestones). Another brand that has peel off glitter polish is Butter London with their Glazen Peel Off Glitter Laquer.

Are you tempted to give glitter nail polish another chance?

Nude Rose Spring Manicure

Nude Rose Spring Manicure

Nude Rose Spring Manicure

Pink and nude colours for nails are always flattering, timeless, delicate and feminine. And to celebrate spring here is this simple nail art that is very easy to recreate: you only need a base coat, a pale pink nail polish, nail stickers and a top coat.

I used Nails Inc Base Coat, followed by 2 coats of Nails Inc Elizabeth Street. Then I applied a rose sticker in a similar tone to the nail polish (I used one from a set similar to these, but there are many more affordable nail sticker sets on Ali Express). Afterwards I sealed everything off with Nails Inc Top Coat

If you want to add a bit of extra shine and nourishment, you could add a couple of drops of your favourite nail oil. I used the Essie Apricot Nail Oil as the finishing touch.

If you recreate this look tag me on Instagram or Twitter so I can see it ♥

Favourite Dresslily Halloween Outfits + 25% Off Code

Dresslily's Halloween dress collection is here, and above are my picks of their cutest ones. From left to right, top to bottom:

The first dress has a black long sleeve top, waist cinching bow and wide skirt - it's super classy and flattering. The second dress is another prim and proper dress with a lovely rose and skull print.
The third dress is repeating the skull and rose elements but with a more casual, rocker vibe with the sweetheart neckline and adjustable buckle straps.

If you like more contrasting colours, the fourth dress is for you: with its orange print on purple background you are sure to be the centre of attention. And I couldn't pass this dress up, with the cutest Peter Pan collar and sheer sleeves it is a super feminine design.

Autumn Wishlist 2019

fila disruptor heart, topshop jewelled headband, knitted skirt, wool cardigan, birkin dupe

The new season is only a few days away and I always get excited about the new colour palettes and cosy items dropping in stores. Some items that have caught my eye are:

H&M Chunky Wool Cardigan £50 - The fuchsia shade is a fail safe way to add some brightness into an autumn-winter wardrobe that can get a bit boring with so many greys and beiges.

Fila Disruptor Heart Trainers £85 - I haven't gotten a pair of white trainers since my adidas Stan Smiths, and these ones with the chunky sole and red hearts could be a nice update.

Topshop Embellished Headband £18.50 - Even if I don't wear them a lot, I do love hair accessories, and the big, bright jewels on this headband look so glamorous yet refined.

Ashwood Leather Tote Bag £50 - Been getting into a "career change" mood, with a more formal-environment in mind and a professional looking tote bag would help complete any outfit. Plus this one reminds me of the Birking bag, and the burgundy colour is ideal for autumn and winter.

Uniqlo Knitted Skirt £25 - I would really like to incorporate a knitted skirt into my wardrobe, so far these two uniqlo ones are my favourites. It can be dressed up or down and it would make a nice change from just wearing trousers all winter long.

Did any of these pieces catch your eye?
