Last month I spoiled by Dot who got me many cute and delicious gifts on Valentine's Day.

Finally did a little bit of shopping and last month I got a few beauty items to treat myself, along with a steady stream of samples to try.
Starting with the classic Olay Day Lotion SPF 15, but this time I got the one for oily skin, and my first two items of Korean skincare: SNP mini Moisture Petal Toner and the SNP mini Eye & Facial Nourishing Cream.
Also received a few samples: Shiseido Ultimune Eye Cream, Sure Ultimate Fresh Deodorant, Mugler Alien Perfume; and Lancome Genefique serum, Renergie Multi Lift Ultra cream, Idole Perfume and Idole Mascara. Valentino Voce Viva perfume and Rituals Namaste Glow Serum and Glow Day Cream. Also (not pictured) the new Lush Mascara.

Sunnier days seem to be more common as of late, however it can still feel a bit chilly, and as many of us are spending time at home more than ever it is important to keep comfortable and warm. There's still a full month of winter left, so we have to try to keep warm for a little longer, which is where Prestarrs comes in: on their website you can find a large range of items available to make you feel warmer and look stylish whether you are staying in or going out.
Prestarrs has over 300 styles of women's pullovers, and knitwear is one of my favourite things to wear, so I wanted to share a couple of my favourites. Pictured above we have two really cute options in soft shades. On the left is a white v-neck jumper with long sleeves and a delicate vertical line pattern, which in conjunction with the neckline shape, elongates the body and will make you look taller and leaner. It is available in 5 different colours.
On the right we have a very cute and feminine jumper with a mock neck in a sweet pink shade. What I like about this knit is not only the shade and the mock neck, but also the textured pattern on the top half that gives the illusion of a v-neck, which will also help elongate the torso, even when it has a higher neck.
Another very important part of any winter outfit is footwear, as we aren't able to layer up as much on our feet as we do on our body, a pair of warm cute boots is often needed. On the left we have a pair of black faux suede booties, with a one inch block heel in a contrasting wooden effect and brown soles. This pair is a great choice for almost any occasion, they're not too formal or casual, and the small heel is a nice bonus without making your feet sore unlike when wearing sky high heels.
Even though I'm not a big fan of wearing black clothes anymore, for shoes it's a different story. Because the colour is so versatile I've picked another pair of black boots, but this time in a more casual style: with big chunky heels and textured platform soles these boots will look great with a pair of skinny jeans or a mini dress. What I also like about this pair of boots is that they are Chelsea style, so they're very easy to get on and take off, wasting no time when you need to get out the door fast.

Rituals Ultra Hydrating Black Soap: a body wash with a gel-like consistency, it's not runny so it's easy to apply. I used a body puff so it helped it lather a bit but it doesn't foam up that much. The black colour is quite intriguing but a bit off-putting to me, as it doesn't mention what gives this soap it's hue. It has a fresh eucalyptus scent that's invigorating and leaves skin feeling soft thanks to the glycerine, castor and olive oils.
Elemis Superfood Night Cream: an omega-rich night time moisturiser that "nourishes the skin with intense nutrition whilst you sleep so you wake up to a healthy glow." Sometimes a sample of this size will last me more than one use, which was the case with this one but it was for the wrong reason: I could not stand the smell of it so wouldn't dream of actually purchasing this cream, which is disappointing as I've used some Elemis products before and quite liked them.

A while back I received a Superdrug B. skincare/beauty gift set that included two of the Superdrug B. face masks: the B. Glowing Clay Face Mask and the B. Detoxed Clay Face Mask.
The first one I tried was the B. Detoxed Clay Face Mask which is suitable for all skin types and is meant to detoxify, clarify and brighten. It contains charcoal powder and kaolin to draw out impurities and absorb excess sebum. After using it my skin felt softer and looked more even without any tightness, as well as feeling a cooling, almost tingling sensation a while after washing it off.
The following week I tried the B. Glowing Clay Face Mask which claims to exfoliate, brighten and refine skin's texture. This mask is also suitable for all skin types. I was a bit disappointed to find out this mask had exfoliating particles as I prefer a chemical exfoliation over a mechanical one nowadays. This mask contains finely ground apricot granules, a blend of 3 natural clays and red seaweed extract to soften and remove impurities. This mask also left my skin feeling softer and smoother, however I would probably not use it again as I prefer masks without exfoliating particles.
The Superdrug B. face masks come in a single use/dose pack which can be very handy for traveling or if you very rarely use clay masks as it avoids wasting a bigger pack, but personally 10ml was too much product to use in one go, which was too thick when applied and took very long time trying to get it off after 10 minutes (it wasn't even fully dry), as well as being a messy application and removal process because of the amount of product I had to put on and rinse off.
I would probably use the B. Detoxed charcoal face mask again, especially if it is available in a different presentation, such as a tube or pot.

This is the outfit I wore on Christmas day, wearing my new cardigan I got that same morning as a present. The dress was purchased around spring time last year and I saved it for my birthday, but it's too cute to put away so I layered over this chunky knit cardigan to make it wearable for the colder weather as well.

I went from running away from dairy to literally showering in it (you might remember I went dairy free for about a year in order to try to help my skin which was going through a very bad breakout phase nearly 4 years ago).
Anyway, I saw the BYRE Full Cream Body Wash in Sainsbury's one day and picked it up as it sounded like a nice, gentle body wash and wanted to try it.
The BYRE Full Cream Body Wash is "a rich, thick and creamy body wash with a vanilla fragrance". It contains sweet whey power from British cows, as well as aloe vera, oatmeal extract and sustainable poppy seed oil for soft and supple skin.
What I like about this body wash is that it gently cleanses skin without leaving it feeling tight or dry. It does have a light vanilla scent which sadly doesn't linger and I wish was stronger, and there's also a hint of acidity in the scent but that doesn't negatively affect my opinion on this product.
If you have dry skin or want a mild cleanser that will gently soften and moisturise your skin I think you might like the BYRE Full Cream Body Wash.
