Athé Authentic Lip Balms

Recently I received a set of 3 athé Lip Balms*:

Authentic Lip Balm in two shades: 01 Authentic is a pH reactive lip balm that looks almost invisible upon application but turns a faint hot pink on my lips; and 11 Low Key which is a muted brownish-pink tone, however it turns to a darker hot pink after a few minutes on my lips. Both shades glide on easily and make my lips feel very soft and moisturised, with a subtle shine, which I like.

Authentic Airy Lip Balm in 04 Chilly: This one is a matte lip balm. Initially I expected it to be very pigmented but was pleasantly surprised when it wasn't as it gave me a really natural look. It has a velvety finish and a powdery feel. It is not very moisturising however, it isn't too drying either. This warm red shade looks very pretty on the lips and can help elevate your look without looking too 'done'. Perfect for every day!

All 3 lip balms are unscented and leave a long-lasting stain on the lips. They also contain Oils of Macadamia, Olive, Jojoba and Grape Seed.

The product dispenses by twisting the base. I really like the sleek packaging with gold accents; it uses metal and plastic components and feels very good quality. I also like the magnetic closure and the loop on the bottom of each lipstick where you can attach a cute ribbon or keyring and take them everywhere you go!

Jumiso All Day Vitamin Serums & Snail Mucin Essence

@skincarestationery A couple of weeks ago I received a Jumiso package kindly sent to me by StyleKorean as part of their Try Me Review Me program. It included the following products: 🍊 All Day Vitamin Pure C 5.5 Glow Serum: formulated to reduce dark spots by 30% in 2 weeks thanks to 5.5% L-Ascorbic Acid and 2% Ascorbyl Glucoside. It also contains Ferulic Acid and Vitamin E. It has a pale yellow colour and a light, watery consistency which absorbs fast. And even with a pH of 3.95, it is non-irritating. Comes in a dark glass bottle to prevent oxidation of the active ingredients. What I did not love about this serum was that it says to keep refrigerated (which I'm not doing as it's I find inconvenient) and the smell, which is reminiscent of soy or fish sauce. I haven't used it for very long but I believe I am starting to see improvement on the pigmentation I have on my cheekbone so will continue to use it. 🍊 All Day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Facial Serum: infused with 86% Sea Buckthorn, plus Niacinamide, Extracts of Centella Asiatica, Green Tea, Licorice Root, Chamomile and Rosemary; and soothing Panthenol. It has a light texture that feels like a just-melted gel product. It absorbs fast into the skin, leaving it supple and hydrated. This serum comes in an orange glass bottle and features a soft floral-citrus scent of Geranium and Palmarosa which I like. It has gentle brightening properties and is ideal for anyone interested in starting their antioxidant journey as it is very kind on the skin. I will continue to use it as I enjoy its scent and texture. 🐌 Snail Mucin 95 + Peptide Essence: it includes 5 types of peptides (including copper ones), plus Panthenol, Allantoin, Arginine and Adenosine, alongside 95% Snail Mucin Extract for moisturised and firmer skin. I've used a couple of snail mucin products in the past, one which I loved and the other one I found a bit slimy and took too long to absorb so I was a bit nervous about how this Essence would perform. At first it does feel very slippery on the skin but it absorbs within seconds, leaving it feeling very soft and moisturised without any sticky feeling, which I really liked. A couple of weeks ago I received a Jumiso package kindly sent to me by StyleKorean as part of their Try Me Review Me program. 

It included the following products:

Gentle Cleansers for Autumn & Winter

With colder temperatures we need to keep our skin barrier happy by using gentle products, and this includes our cleanser.

A couple of cleansers ideal for autumn and winter are:

Revision Skincare DEJ Daily Boosting Serum

Designed to rejuvenate and energize fatigued skin, the Revision Skincare DEJ Daily Boosting Serum* is infused with Sunflower Sprout Extract Technology which can improve firmness and skin health. SOME BY MI AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Cream

A few weeks ago I received the SOME BY MI AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Cream*, which besides the ingredients in the name, it also contains just over 70% Centella Asiatica Extract.

Other notable ingredients include: Niacinamide; Extracts of Tea Tree, Aloe Vera, Calendula, Green Tea, Lavender, Rosemary, Mushroom and Witch Hazel; plus Saccharide Isomerate and Ceramide NP. 

This cream is designed to exfoliate, strengthen the skin barrier, soothe and moisturise. 

It has a lightweight gel-cream consistency that absorbs fast into the skin without stickiness. 

I've been using it as a night cream and in the morning my skin feels very soft, smooth and nourished while looking more even and less red. 

This cream is fragranced with uplifting Peppermint oil and contains no artificial colours so the green shade comes from the ingredients within.

It comes in a glossy cardboard box, holding a sturdy plastic green pot and branded black lid. It also contains a stopper inside and has a PAO of 12  months.

This was my first product by the brand so was quite excited to try it and I'm happy to say I was not disappointed. I would certainly recommend the SOME BY MI AHA BHA PHA 30 Days Miracle Cream, especially for oily skin or if you are prone to breakouts.

Skin1004 Probio-Cica Eye Cream and Hyalu-Cica Sun Stick

Recently I have been testing the Skin1004 Probio-Cica Bakuchiol Eye Cream and Hyalu-Cica Silky-Fit Sun Stick, kindly sent to me by the brand.

These are the 3rd and 4th products from Skin1004 that I've tried and they all share the same luxurious-feeling silk-touch cardboard packaging, which I really like.

The Skin1004 Probio-Cica Eye Cream has brightening and anti-wrinkle properties thanks to Fermented Centella and Bakuchiol. 

Other notable ingredients include Niacinamide, Shea Butter, Panthenol, Adenosine, Macadamia Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramides, Cocoa Extract, Centella Asiatica Extracts and Acetyl Hexapeptide-8.

This eye cream comes in a sleek brown tube with a silicone applicator. I would have liked to see a cooling metal tip, however, it still massages in the product nicely. Make sure to dot the cream around the eye first before attempting to glide the applicator, otherwise it may pull or skip on the skin.

It has a medium consistency that does not feel greasy or break me out.

My eye area feels very soft, supple, moisturised and looks glowing and smooth. It seems to have increased firmness and helped with dark circles as well.

I was surprised to see it contains "only" 20ml of product but it's still more than the usual 15ml found in western eye products.

The Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Silky-Fit Sun Stick is actually my first ever sun stick so I was quite intrigued to try it. 

This Sun Stick provides SPF 50+ PA++++ protection and is infused with Pure Centella from Madagascar and Hyaluronic Acid. It also contains several botanical extracts, including Neem, Eggplant, Aloe, Turmeric, Agave, Chestnut, Safflower, Coffee, Grape and Jojoba; however, most are under 1ppm, so any benefits may be negligible.

It comes in a white tube with a matte pastel blue cap, in a twist-up format which is reminiscent of deodorant sticks. 

The product dispenses easily without sticking to the packaging. It glides on and melts into the skin without issues.

As I have oily skin, I was worried it would make me look shiny but that was not the case at all, as the Silica in the formula prevents any shine, giving it a soft matte finish on the skin.

It does not feel greasy, it is also unscented and did not irritate my skin. 

Even though the product is quite small and compact I believe it still should last a while. After several passes all over my face it only used up 1 to 2mm of product. 

Overall, it is a very quick and convenient way of reapplying sunscreen on the go and throughout the day so I will continue to use this product! 

The packaging for both products comes sealed for hygiene which I appreciate.

Innisfree Green Tea Seed Hyaluronic Acid Serum

A couple of weeks ago I received the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Hyaluronic Acid Serum*.

This multi-tasking facial serum is formulated to hydrate and add glow to the skin. It also helps strengthen the moisture barrier while soothing and nourishing.

Besides the main ingredients (HA and Camellia Sinensis Seed Oil & Extract), it also contains Niacinamide, Saccharide Isomerate, Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate, Squalane, Panthenol, Allantoin, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid and Lactic Acid.

It does contain alcohol and fragrance, however, it does not irritate my skin or break me out. It has a slightly floral and sweet scent that does not linger. It also features a light pink hue which was unexpected but I like it. 

It is very lightweight and absorbs fast, leaving my skin feeling very soft and moisturised. It also seems to reduce redness.

I love that it contains so many hydrating, antioxidant and soothing ingredients AND probiotics, one of my current favourite ingredients in skincare. 

The product comes in a green  cardboard box containing a very generous 80ml glass bottle in a matching green shade that fades towards the bottom. The dispenser is a twist top pump and dispenses the right amount of product each time. I find that just one pump is enough for my whole face so this will last for ages.

Laneige Cream Skin Cerapeptide Toner & Moisturiser

The Laneige Cream Skin Cerapeptide* is a 2 in 1 Toner & Moisturiser designed to provide intense hydration while firming the skin by using Ceramides, Peptides and White Leaf Tea. 

Other notable ingredients include Glycerin, Meadowfoam Seed Oil, Squalane, Mannitol, Snow Mushroom Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Camellia Flower Extract and Vitamin E.

It has a milky texture that absorbs in seconds, leaving my skin feeling very soft and moisturised, and making texture appear more refined. 

Even though it is aimed at normal to dry skin types, it does not feel heavy or greasy on my oily skin. It did not cause any irritation or breakouts either.

What I really like is that this product could save a couple of steps during my skincare routine if pressed for time.

The Laneige Cream Skin Cerapeptide Toner & Moisturiser comes in a matte white cardboard box with blue text. The bottle design is very unique, featuring an oversized off-white screw cap and a clear plastic bottle with a frosted easy-peel sticker. Very aesthetically pleasing and easy to recycle. 

It is also fragrance free, contains 170ml of product and has a PAO of 12 months. 

Overall, a great moisturising toner with firming properties that I would recommend for any skin type!
