3INA All The Colours

3INA All The Colours

3INA All The Colours

As part of the 3ina & Superdrug PR package I received, I got a set of 3 makeup items showcasing their Colours collection:

This eyeliner pen comes protected in a cardboard box which matches the shade inside so even though the colours are named using numbers, it is easy to select the colour you want or need. Inside it houses the plastic pen which has a light matte texture. It is very lightweight and easy to work with.

The pen's felt tip is fine and very precise, allowing you to make very thin lines on the eyelids with ease. It is also incredibly pigmented, and even though I would not usually go for a coloured eye pencil, the electric blue shade was very interesting to try out and I quite liked how it looked when I used it for a colourful mini cat-eye.

I wasn't sure what the shade would look like once on but the intense colour is very fun to use. I only did one pass of the eyeliner and after a couple of hours, however, the intense colour seemed to dull down a bit and it looked matte and slightly patchy which could be expected given my skin is on the oilier side.

Overall, this pen eyeliner is good quality and I would not rule out trying it out in different colours.

The PAO is 6 months, which is the usual time for this type of product.

3INA The 24H Eye Stick in 791
It comes packaged in a cardboard box with the 3INA logo embossed on the front and is coloured in the same shade as the pencil inside. Contained within the box is a chunky plastic pencil with a soft matte texture, presenting the 3INA logo, product name and shade.

Once the cap is slid off, it reveals the pointed eye shadow stick, which can be shaped into a neat point again after each application by utilising the handy sharpener included, which is hidden inside the base of the pencil. The twist up action is smooth and whatever product is dispensed stays up when applying.

The colour 791 is an aqua or teal shade, a bold green with a hint of blue which pops against the skin. While the shadow stick is not difficult to apply and glides on without tugging or pulling, I did find it a bit hard to blend as it dries almost instantly after application to help it achieve a longer lasting wear. The 24h Eye Stick also has a matte, chalky finish which isn't personally a favourite.

Bold colours are not something I usually reach for when doing my makeup, however I believe this shade goes well with the 3INA The Color Pen Eyeliner in 850 and they can be used together to attain a fun, 60s inspired makeup look.

This product has a 24 month PAO, so gives plenty of time to use it up.

Unfortunately, this was probably my least favourite item from the trial because of the unusual shade colour, difficulty blending which caused patchy application, as well as the matte finish.

Comes in a tiny cardboard box coloured in the matching shade inside, with the contrasting 3INA logo embossed on it in white. Inside it contains a hefty frosted glass bottle with a matte plastic lid which also matches the eyeshadow colour. I find the packaging very appealing and of great quality. I also like that the lid and bottle are connected with a sticker for security and in the interior it has an extra detachable plastic lid to prevent any spilling or the product drying out.

The eyeshadow itself has a creamy, whipped consistency that is easily picked up with fingers. I also found it extremely easy to apply and blend onto my eyelid, which is fantastic as it means it is perfect for a quick makeup look.

This cream eyeshadow is very pigmented and only used the tiny amount I initially picked up with my finger to cover my entire eyelid without having to use more product.

It looks very dark and metallic inside the pot, however once applied and blended it is more of a lilac with a pink and purple iridescent shimmer.

After only minutes the eyeshadow sets onto the lid and will not rub off, however it does make the skin feel slightly dry.

Contains vitamin E and Caesalpinia Sappan Bark Extract added as skin conditioners and has a PAO of 12 months.

The shade is very pretty and even though is not a colour I usually wear, I think it would make some lovely spring/summer looks and because of the colour payoff and formulation I would also love to try other shades.

Banana Republic Dark Cherry & Amber EDP

Banana Republic Dark Cherry & Amber EDP

Superdrug kindly sent me the Banana Republic Dark Cherry & Amber EDP last week to test and review.

I love the elegant packaging comprised of a sliding compartment that pulls out with a ribbon loop to reveal the faceted red glass bottle nestled inside the padded drawer. The bottle features a simple textured-paper sticker on the front with the brand and fragrance names, and is topped with a weighted gunmetal cap.

The notes in the Banana Republic Dark Cherry & Amber EDP are as follows

Top: Black Cherry and Pink Freesia
Heart: Cherry Blossom and Praline
Base: Blonde Cedar, Red Amber

Upon first spray I notice the very volatile but deliciously juicy and ripe Black Cherry note without the Pink Freesia being very perceptible, and it quickly evolves to nutty Praline with a hint of Cherry Blossom.

I would have like the Black Cherry to have more staying power and not be a fickle top note that almost fades completely after a few seconds as it such a gorgeous smell.

Sadly, the Blonde Cedar doesn't come through when I wear it, and dries down to a warm, powdery note which is not a personal favourite but I don't dislike it either, as some faint sweetness from the cherry is still noticeable.

It is a very long lasting perfume and only a couple of sprays are needed for it to stay on the skin for the whole day.

Banana Republic Dark Cherry & Amber EDP is also great value for money, I had seen it is £58 and initially thought it was a bit expensive as it is not a designer perfume but once it arrived I realised it is 75ml, so on offer it would be even better value!

The PAO is 24 m so even if worn infrequently, it gives plenty of time to use it up.

I would recommend this perfume if you like long-lasting sweet and fruity scents, and it would make a great evening or AW fragrance.

coxir Black Snail Collagen Eye Cream

coxir Black Snail Collagen Eye Cream

With my last YesStyle order (haul post coming soon, or watch the video on my Tiktok) I received a sponsored product as part of their Influencer Program. This time I selected the coxir Black Snail Collagen Eye Cream which is designed to nourish the skin and has anti-wrinkle properties thanks to the Snail, Collagen and Black Bean in the formula.

I have used another snail eye cream before, the Benton Snail Bee Ultimate Eye Cream (full review here) but the texture is a bit different for the coxir Black Snail Collagen Eye Cream: it is very lightweight, almost like a gel, and also very stringy, which can make it a bit hard when trying to distribute between 2 fingers.

Star ingredients include Snail Secretion Filtrate, Olivoyl Hydrolysed Wheat Protein, Niacinamide, Glycerin, Babassu Seed Oil, Rosehip Oil, Adenosine; Extracts of  Black Soybean, Sesame Seed, Rice, Cacao, Ginseng, Tomato, Peony, Honeysuckle, Edelweiss, Buddleja davidii, Thyme, Aloe, Camucamu, Bamboo and Acai; as well as Hydrolyzed Collagen and Copper Tripeptide-1.

I find this eye cream very hydrating, easily absorbed and non sticky, it also works well under other products and doesn't pill or rub off. I love that it has so many moisturising ingredients and Copper peptides to help hydrate and smooth the skin. It also is less than $20 for 30ml and as only a tiny amount is needed, it will last a very long time.

While it still is early days to comment on full results, I would still recommend trying the coxir Black Snail Collagen Eye Cream if you are looking for an affordable anti-wrinkle eye cream with amazing ingredients.

Garnier Glowing Lengths Pineapple Hair Drink

Garnier Glowing Lengths Pineapple Hair Drink

Recently I posted a review for the newly launched Garnier Ultimate Blends Glowing Lengths haircare range, and at the beginning of the year they welcomed a new addition to the range: the Garnier Glowing Lengths Pineapple Hair Drink*, which is described as an "instant lamellar rinse-out treatment" for 10x smoother hair with mirror-like shine.

Like its sister brand L'Oréal Paris' Wonder Water, this Hair Drink uses lamellar technology: with lamellas that coat the hair fibre to polish and smooth.

The product is quite runny so it can be hard to use, and has an oily feel compared to traditional conditioners. I dispense onto my hands and then apply it to the lengths of my hair, massaging the product in, then leave it on for a few seconds and rinse.

The Garnier Glowing Lengths Pineapple Hair Drink has a smell that is reminiscent of lightly fermented pineapple with a hint of beer, sadly not as fresh and delicious as the other products in the range, however it is not bad or unbearable.

Personally, I feel like the amount indicated on the back is excessive, I have long, thick hair and use about 3 spoonfuls of product, otherwise I would use up the whole bottle in just 4 or 5 washes.

This Hair Drink is easy to rinse off and leaves hair soft and very shiny thanks to the use of Stearamidopropyl Betaine, Amla & Pineapple Extracts, Glycerin and Vitamin E. Even though it is silicone free for a "natural feel" (which I usually avoid as it often results in frizzy hair) I have found that the more I use this, the better my hair looks, with increased shine, softness and smoothness, with frizz being reduced.

I would definitely recommend the Garnier Pineapple Hair Drink if you are looking for a product to smooth and add shine to your hair. The PAO is 18 months so if you use a smaller amount as I have been doing, it should last way longer than expected and it is plenty of time to use it up.

All Used Up #19

All Used Up #19

Welcome to the latest instalment of the All Used Up series! I hadn't posted one since December so here it is:

Vichy Dercos Energising Shampoo*: contains aminexil and vitamins B3, B5 and B6 to help complement hair loss treatments. It has an inoffensive smell, cleanses the scalp well and leaves hair feeling soft. It is meant to be left on for one minute and I may have left it on for a bit longer while conditioning my hair, however I believe that it might have contributed to increased thickness, length and density of hair not just on my head and for that reason I would not use it again.

Sanex Zero Gentle Moisture Shower Gel: a very gentle shower gel with no added fragrance so it's perfect for sensitive skin. It lathers well and leaves my skin feeling clean, soft but not tight or dry thanks to the addition of Glycerin and Lactic Acid. If you are sensitive to fragrance or are looking for a gentle shower product I would definitely recommend this one.

L'Oréal Elvive Hydra Hyaluronic Conditioner: contains Glycerin and Silicones to help leave hair feeling softer and smoother, plus Hyaluronic Acid (which I believe does nothing for hair). I did really like the sweet, more "expensive" scent of this product and how my hair remained detangled compared to other products. I would have it again.

Olay Total Effects SPF 30: this 7 in one daytime moisturiser promises to nourish and protect the skin. It includes Vitamins B3, B5, C & E plus broad spectrum SPF30. I was hoping this would also be tinted like the SPF 15 version but it is not. It also contains Zea Mays Starch which gives it a more matte look, and while I would have really liked that years ago, I just don't like the slightly gritty texture it gives the cream. I'm also unsure about the "minimises the look of pores" claim so I don't think I will be buying this again.

BetterYou Hair, Skin & Nails Daily Oral Spray*: includes Vitamin C, Biotin, Zinc, Vitamin B5, Selenium and Iodine to maintain healthy skin, hair and nails. This spray has a sweet maple syrup-like taste which I liked. While using it I did not experience any major breakouts to my skin and my nails also seemed to grow faster. It comes in a pump bottle which I found hard to get accurate sprays out of so would prefer a dropper or tablet/gummy. I would have it again but preferably in a different presentation or dispenser.

Suqqu Framing Eyebrow Liquid Pen*: I was selected to test this product and at first I wasn't sure I would like it but it grew on me. It has a soft brush tip that doesn't scratch or pull on the skin, and the light pigmentation of it gives a natural look, which I like. It is also easy to remove so I would have it again however, being a high end priced product keeps me from purchasing, as I don't like to spend a lot in makeup items.
