Ever since discovering serums I love using them because they are a great product and would definitely encourage trying them, as they have concentrated skincare ingredients designed to target different skin concerns, meaning you'll see results in less time than you would with a cream.
The L'oreal Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum claims to improve visible skin quality by refining skin texture, tightening pores and evening and brightening the skin tone, thanks to it's 2 key ingredients "LR 2412" and "Perline-P".
Other ingredients include glycerin, which moisturises the skin; dimethicone and other silicones, to make skin feel silky and enhance the skin's texture and appearance visibly; eperua falcata bark extract which reduces skin hyper-reactivity and protects against inflammation; and lentil seed extract which diminishes the appearance of dilated pores over time for a soft, smooth and even surface.
In the ingredient list "LR 24212" and "Perline-P" are not mentioned, but I think one 3 actives that form Perline-P must be the lentil seed extract.
The serum has a really light consistency with a slight pink iridescent tone to it, and small sparkling particles in it, which help skin give a bit of a glow. When I apply the serum, it is absorbed instantly and makes my skin feel silky soft and moisturised. I've used it for a while now and it has helped to get rid of some dry patches of skin that I had, it also seems to have improved the texture of my skin a bit and pore size ever so slightly.
The only thing I don't like about this serum is that when washing my face in the evening it can be quite hard for my cleanser to lather up for some reason.
I will continue to use it in hopes of it improving the look of my skin even more, and would probably repurchase. If you are in your 20s to 30s I would recommend this serum, as it helps improve the quality of skin but doesn't target signs of ageing.
L'oreal Skin Perfection Advanced Correcting Serum retails for £16.99 and can be purchased in Boots and Superdrug (currently on offer for £11.32).
