Just over a week ago I received a package with some The Ordinary goodies*:
Saccharomyces Ferment 30% Milky Toner: formulated to hydrate, exfoliate and brighten the skin in just one step, thanks to 30% saccharomyces ferment with 3% fermented N-acetylglucosamine (NAG).
It has a beautiful light and milky texture that spreads easily on the skin and also absorbs and dries fast.
Even after only 2-3 of days using this toner I could already see some stubborn PIH fading away, and after about a week I noticed the texture of my chin area looking much smoother.
Definitely recommend it for all skin types, especially dry and sensitive ones as this toner is acid free.
Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Serum: a blemish-prone skin aid that also helps control sebum production, reduce hyperpigmentation and redness, as well as improve texture and pore size.
I've used several bottles of this in the past and can attest to the blemish-reducing, brightening and oil-control properties it claims to have.
No wonder it is one of The Ordinary's best selling products.

I was gifted the B by Superdrug BB Cream in Fair to test and review.
This product is designed to provide all day moisture and even out skin tone, while protecting with SPF30, plus antioxidant Vitamins C and E.
The packaging features a practical flip-top cap on a plastic tube, contained within a cardboard box.
The tint blends really nicely on my skin while helping even out tone and texture; it has a faint floral fragrance that does not linger.
The cream has a light consistency that gently moisturises the skin, does not feel heavy (on the contrary, it is comfortable to wear) and looks quite natural. After wearing for several hours, it does not make my skin feel or look dry or cakey.
I like that this BB Cream has SPF 30 so won’t worry about wiping off my sun protection with makeup. I also think it is great that it has a wider shade range than the usual 2 or 3 for BB Creams from other brands.
If you have scars or very enlarged pores it might settle in them but in general, it does a great job evening out skin tone and texture while looking nearly undetectable on the skin which I really like.
It has a PAO of 12 months, it is vegan, cruelty-free and uses at least 50% recycled materials for the packaging, which is also recyclable.

I received the Nyx Professional Makeup Fat Oil Slick Click in the shade Link In My Bio.
This shiny sheer lip balm promises a lightweight texture, 12 hour hydration and buildable pigment in click up packaging.
It is formulated with Avocado, Cloudberry and Raspberry Oils to nourish, plus antioxidant Vitamin E.
Link in My Bio is a warm nude, caramel tone that blends nicely with my lip colour and looks quite natural, although it can be layered for a stronger colour payoff.
It melts into the lips and leaves a glossy finish. My lips feel soft and smooth with a hint of colour
The click pen packaging is quite a novelty but I would prefer a classic twist up as I like to be able to retract any excess product back into the bullet.
Other than that it is a great product; I would love to try other shades in this range and I like that the shade of the lip oil is reflected on the outer packaging.
It has a sweet berry scent that does not linger and a 18 month PAO.

A while back I received the TIAM B3 Niacin Sunscreen, kindly sent to me by the brand.
It provides SPF 50++++ protection and is formulated to address dull skin and reduce the look of dark spots while moisturising dry skin.
Some notable ingredients include Niacinamide at 2%, Alpha Arbutin and Tranexamic Acid to help improve skin tone and reduce hyperpigmentation. It also contains soothing Panthenol, Vitamin E, Rose Flower Oil, Biotin, Vitamin B9, B6, A, B1 and B12.
This sunscreen has a beautiful gel-cream consistency that feels very moisturising on the skin. There is no white cast and no stickiness; it spreads easily, absorbs fast and has a weightless sensation on the skin.
It has a subtle citrus scent that does not linger and I am able to use it on my eye area with no irritation.
It has a natural, glowy finish that does not look or feel greasy. I think it would be great for both oily and dry skin!

A couple of weeks ago I received a package from Diana Drummond containing the Seaweed Organics Shampoo and Conditioner.
The Seaweed Shampoo is designed to refresh, strengthen and protect and is formulated with gentle surfactants, Rosemary Essential Oil, Panthenol, Sunflower Seed Oil and Extracts of Egg Wrack, Irish Moss, Bladder Wrack, Kombu Kelp and Dulse.
It has an invigorating rosemary fragrance which lingers after using and I like that it can help promote hair growth while having anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
This shampoo has a clear gel consistency and lightly lathers to gently cleanse while leaving the scalp and hair feeling very soft and moisturised.
The Seaweed Hair Conditioner is designed to moisture, plump, smooth and volumise thanks to Sunflower Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Panthenol, Vitamin E and Jojoba Seed Oil.
It is also infused with anti-oxidant and moisturising Egg Wrack, Irish Moss, Bladder Wrack, Kombu Kelp and Dulse.
Despite the nourishing ingredients, it has a light lotion texture that rinses off easily and leaves hair feeling soft and with a long-lasting rosemary fragrance.
It would be ideal for thin and flat hair as it will not weigh it down and provides some added volume, however, for dry or thick hair it might not feel nourishing enough.

Recently I received the Abib Jericho Rose Jelly Collagen Eye Patch, which are formulated to firm, hydrate and rejuvenate the skin thanks to Shea Butter, Peptides, Caffeine, Jericho Rose, Adenosine, and Ceramides.
They also contain brightening Niacinamide, plus soothing Allantoin and Panthenol.
I really like the minimal packaging design and the fact that the patches are textured as it prevents them from sliding down the face like smooth ones usually do. The pot also contains a stopper and a spoon to dispense the patches.
The Abib Collagen Eye Patches are easy to use and saturated in the essence. They need to be left on the skin for 20 to 30 minutes and can be used not only on the eye area but any other places of concern around the face.
After using them my skin feels hydrated and has a nice glow to it. I did find that layering products afterward would result in pilling, which isn't ideal.
They are fragrance free so will also suit sensitive skin.

Last week I received a MUA mailer, including the Brow Gel XL, Pro Base Fix Grip Primer and the whole range of Hydra-Juice Peptide Lip Balms.
Designed to provide strong hold, this brow gel comes with a handy built-in brush and comb under the cap for pre or post styling and it could even double as an eyelash comb. I also like the lightweight, off-white matte tube packaging.
The brow gel is clear so suitable for all hair colours, and the applicator brush features shorter and longer bristles to adapt to denser areas as needed.
This brow gel definitely provides very good hold as my brows stay in place all day with barely any movement, which is great compared to other brow gels I’ve used, where just my hair brushing my face would move my eyebrows out of place.

A couple of weeks ago I received the Monuskin Recovery Balm, which is designed to soothe sensitised or stressed skin thanks to Soft Rose and Bergamot Essential Oils plus peptides to reduce redness and irritation.
It also contains Evening Primrose and Blackcurrant Seed to nourish and moisturise while protecting the skin barrier and lipid content; Panthenol, Bisabolol and Cassia Alata Leaf Extract calm the skin, and Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide hydrates it.
The Monuskin Recovery Balm comes in a tube with silver accents at the base and lid, and uses an airless pump system to deliver the product. Just 1 to 2 pumps is enough to cover my whole face.
The product has a light, whipped texture and spreads easily, leaving my skin feeling soft and moisturised, with redness appearing reduced. It has a beautiful rose rose fragrance which I really enjoy.
I do have oily skin so, while the product is not greasy, it can make my skin appear shiny a couple of hours after application but I wear face powder to mitigate this.
It is ideal for all skin types, but I would especially recommend it as a moisturiser to use after your exfoliating acids or retinol at night time.
