I was kindly gifted the Dercos Anti Dandruff Sensitive Shampoo, which promises to act on dandruff from first use and to have a 6 week anti-relapse action.
It is designed for dandruff and itchy scalps which are also sensitive and uses a gentle cleansing formula.
It uses very mild surfactants including Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate and Cocamidopropyl Betaine. Also contains Lactic Acid and Salicylic acid to exfoliate the scalp; Piroctone Olamine to treat dandruff, plus soothing Bisabolol.
The shampoo is a clear liquid with low viscosity and a synthetic scent that does not linger after washing.
It lightly lathers and gently cleanses my scalp and leaves it feeling clean without any dryness or irritation. There was no itching or visible flakes either.
What I also liked was that my hair felt soft and frizz seemed to be reduced, with roots looking clean, with natural volume.
As it uses quite gentle surfactants, if you have very oily hair you may need to double cleanse. Also the scent was not my favourite but thankfully it does not linger.
