Just a week ago I received the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer*. 

This Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer promises to achieve Super Coverage and can be used 4 ways:

1. Conceal
2. Contour
3. Highlight 
4. Retouch

It is infused with Coconut Water, Alpine Rose & Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and soothe the skin; it is non-comedogenic and oil free, long-wearing and available in 35 shades. 

I selected the shade Almond which is a great match for my facial skin. I can attest to the Super Coverage claims as it is highly pigmented and only a tiny amount is needed, it blends in nicely and looks undetectable on the skin, helping me camouflage redness and imperfections. 

The packaging is cute, with a frosted plastic bottle, black lid and gold detailing, which resembles a small foundation bottle. It contains 13.5 ml and has a PAO of 12 months, and as only a small amount is needed each time it will last a long time.

I don't wear foundation so this is a nice product to have should I wish for a bit of extra coverage when dealing with breakouts or black circles.

This was my first time trying Too Faced and I am very happy with this product so will be looking into trying more from this brand!

CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser

I received the CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser from the Superdrug Community to test and review.

This Cleanser for normal to dry skin is designed to cleanse, hydrate and remove makeup while respecting the skin barrier thanks to 3 Essential Ceramides, Amino Acids and Hyaluronic Acid. 

Other notable ingredients include gentle surfactants, Glycerin, Salicylic Acid, Cholesterol, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Citric Acid and Phytosphingosine to further moisturise and gently exfoliate the skin.

The CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser has a light, milky texture reminiscent of a moisturising lotion. It foams lightly and leaves my skin feeling very soft, smooth and gently moisturised. 

I am really enjoying this cleanser as it does not leave my skin feeling dry or tight after use.

Only a small amount is needed and as they kindly sent me the 473ml version it will last for absolute ages!

Nuditta kindly sent me a couple of items to style for my blog! I chose this Lace and Satin Chemise and styled it with their Ultra Soft Modal T-Shirt for a grunge inspired look. 

It still is freezing here in the UK so had to wear a cardigan with this look. I did brave the cold for a couple of pictures without it to show the beautiful lace and intricate strap detailing. 

I love the flowy fabric of this dress which is very well made and I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the products I received.

A couple of weeks ago I received a set of Dermafirm CICAA.C products, kindly sent to me by the brand

CICAA.C Cleansing Foam: formulated with a slightly acidic pH and over 35% moisturising ingredients for balanced skin. 

This creamy cleanser features gentle surfactants, Niacinamide, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Tea Tree Oil, Centella Asiatica EXOSOME, and 4 types of exfoliating acids (AHA, BHA, PHA & LHA).

It foams up nicely and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised. 

CICAA.C Essence Toner: also formulated with Centella Asiatica EXOSOME, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract and 4 types of exfoliating acids like the Cleanser; plus Octuplex Hyaluronic Acids, Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans and Panthenol to control sebum, exfoliate and hydrate in one single step.

This toner has a watery texture that absorbs easily into the skin and leaves my skin not only hydrated but also moisturised, smooth and soft which I really like. 

CICAA.C Spot Cream: just like the Toner, it contains Centella Asiatica EXOSOME and Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans, Panthenol and several types of Hyalurinic Acid; as well as Niacinamide, Allantoin and Symclariol 0.5% to help soothe, moisturise and reduce acne bacteria.

It has a creamy texture that melts into the skin with ease. It provides light moisture and I also noticed that it has helped greatly reduce redness.

Sadly, while it did help reduce blemishes, I still experienced some minor breakouts while using this range so it did not prevent new ones from appearing. I liked how lightweight the product textures are and they did not irritate my skin.

A couple of weeks ago I received a beautiful package from Alterna haircare containing products from their Caviar Anti-Ageing range.

Restructuring Bond Repair Leave-in Heat Protection Spray: this product is enriched with Vitamins B7, A, E and B5; Hydrolysed Proteins of Rice, Wheat, Soy, Corn and Cottonseed, plus Caviar Bond Enforcing Technology and designed to seal the hair surface and repair damage, detangle, soften and provide heat protection up to 232°C. 

It has a lightweight lotion texture that spreads easily on damp hair, making it instantly soft and smooth. It features a warm citrus scent and leaves my hair looking very shiny. I used it in my Shark hairdryer video and you can see how soft and manageable my hair looks thanks to this product!

Restructuring Bond Repair Leave-in Overnight Serum: designed to help repair hair damage while you sleep thanks to Caviar Bond Enforcing Technology. Infused with Hydrolysed Keratin and Vegetable Protein plus Shea Butter for deeper nourishment. This hair serum also has a very light texture that melts into the hair within seconds, leaving it silky soft.

Like the Spray, it also provides heat protection up to 232°C and has a similar soft citrus-based fragrance. It is suitable for all hair types.

Jumiso Clean & Plump Cleanser + Essence Set

Recently I was kindly gifted the Jumiso Clean & Plump Cleanser + Essence Set.

Snail Mucin 95 + Peptide Essence: it includes 5 types of peptides (including copper ones), plus Panthenol, Allantoin, Arginine and Adenosine, alongside 95% Snail Mucin Extract for moisturised and firmer skin.

At first it does feel very slippery on the skin but it absorbs within seconds, leaving it feeling very soft and hydrated without any sticky feeling, which I really liked. It also leaves skin with a beautiful glow and helps improve texture.

Pore Purifying Salicylic Acid Foaming Cleanser: it is designed to unclog pores and remove excess oil thanks to its pH balanced formula, infused with 0.5% Salicylic Acid, Montmorillonite and Illite. It also contains Citric and Malic Acids, Gardenia and Apple Fruit Extracts. 

This non-comedogenic, exfoliating cleanser lightly foams to reveal purified skin without drying it out. Perfect for acne-prone skin!

Scottish Botanicals Soap by Diana Drummond

Diana Drummond kindly sent me a set of 2 Scottish Botanicals soaps, which are made in collaboration with Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. They are handmade in Edinburgh, UK, using a traditional cold process method to help retain the natural benefits of the raw ingredients.

There are 7 different scents to choose from and I received the scents Rosemary and Seaweed & Oatmeal, both varieties use a blend of Olive, Coconut and Castor Oils, plus Shea Butter and Beeswax for nourishment, as well as Seaweed gel.

Both soaps feature invigorating scents of Rosemary, and Lemon and Cedar respectively; and leave my hands feeling soft and refreshed. 

Every soap order comes with a free soap bag which can be very handy for storage, travel, or to use in the shower.

I prefer to use soap when washing my hands as liquid hand wash dries them out and makes them peel uncontrollably so I will definitely continue to use these soaps and recommend them if you are a fan of scented, hand-made and high quality soap.

Mary & May Skincare Routine

Last month I received a package kindly sent to me by Mary & May which contained 4 products and a cute branded fabric Eco tote bag.

6 Peptide Complex Serum - this ultra-light serum is infused with 6 types of peptides plus Glycerin and Arginine. It has a watery texture that absorbs very fast into the skin and lightly hydrates it. After using it I believe that it has helped improve my skin's firmness and texture as my skin looks smoother and pores look more refined. 

Sensitive Soothing Gel Cream - containing 71.8% Houttuynia Cordata and 9.7% Tea Tree Extracts, this weightless gel cream moisturises the skin without feeling heavy or greasy. It also contains Panthenol, Arginine, and Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, making it perfect for oily and breakout-prone skin types. I find it very soothing and cooling. It also helps reduce redness and prevent breakouts. 

Tranexamic Acid + Glutathione Eye Cream - besides Glutathione and Tranexamic Acid at 1000ppm each, it also contains Niacinamide, Beeswax, Panthenol, Sea Buckthorn Oil, Adenosine and Ascorbic Acid to brighten and improve skin texture. It has a medium to thick, silky silicone texture that feels nourishing and provides an instant smoothing effect. This eye cream has also helped improve dark circles.

Vegan Cica Soothing Cream SPF50+ PA++++ - infused with F-Cica Complex (7 Centella Asiatica derivatives fermented with Yeast) at 10,000 ppm, plus Niacinamide, Adenosine and Tocopherol to soothe, brighten and improve wrinkles. This sunscreen has a light lotion texture that spreads easily and layers well over other products. It gently moisturises and does not irritate my skin. It also has a beautiful citrus and white floral fragrance that I really like.

Mary & May is a brand that I wanted to try for a while and I really enjoyed testing these products. It is an affordable, gentle 'green' beauty brand with great ingredients and eco-conscious recyclable cardboard packaging printed with soy ink.

It caters for several concerns and skin types so you are bound to find something to suit you!

I will definitely look into trying more products from this brand.
