Over a week off work left woohoo haha! The clock's gone back 1 hour so the days are longer, it's getting warmer (I've recently been going out without a scarf). Trying to stay positive through this inflamed gum on the back of my mouth haha it's getting annoying now. Been thinking for ages about doing more youtube videos, mostly vlogs but don't know, editing takes me ages.

Sanctuary Spa Smoothing Silk Polish

Sanctuary Spa Smoothing Silk Polish
After trying out and liking a couple of Sanctuary Spa products, I thought I'd get the Sanctuary Spa Smoothing Silk Polish as I was running out of my previous body scrub

Don't know why but I imagined the Sanctuary Spa Smoothing Silk Polish was going to be more of a gel product with lots of gritty particles so I was pleasantly surprised to discover upon first use that it has a very creamy but light consistency to it with sparse particles made out of ground coconut shell so it's great for a gentle scrub.

The addition of shea butter and apricot oil, amongst other natural oils, make the Sanctuary Spa Smoothing Silk Polish smell amazing with a sweet and slightly warm fragrance, as well as leaving skin feeling very smooth and soft. It is a great gentle, softening body polish and I would definitely buy it again.

Last day of work and now I'm off until the 12th next month, plus wages go up so double yay!
About that coat from H&M that I'm on the lookout for, it was from last season and saw it on sale in the Southend branch for about £20, but since I've been a more concious shopper, I told myself that even though I liked it, I wouldn't buy it because I already had a very similar one (worn throughout this post). It was only recently that I thought that I could have bought it and then sold my old one, but it was too late, I think it's sold out and will never be mine. Oh well, lesson learnt.

Get a Free Moschino Backpack

Moschino number plate print backpack
Moschino number plate print backpack

For mother's day we decided to get my mother in law the new Moschino Fresh Couture Eau de Toilette perfume (the one that resembles a cleaner bottle, as she loves cleaning haha). After looking in a few shops we found it in Debenhams and when you buy the medium or large sized bottle, you get a backpack with it. You can also find Moschino Fresh Couture in Boots.

The backpack is fully lined with a zip pocket inside. It has adjustable straps, a faux leather handle, a metallic clip closure and poppers on the sides to adjust the size, as well as a nice structured flat base. It looks well made and sturdy and I've been using it for work. Not sure if the offer is available online but look for the it in store!

Didn't shop that much last month, but upgraded my boots and got a pair of Clarks chelsea boots, and started building a summer wardrobe with the Uniqlo red striped top and straw basket style bag from the Ines de la Fressange collaboration.

It should have been delivered the next day but since I ordered it quite late it only took the whole weekend for me to get it hmph. But yeah, excited as I like to take pictures and also my outfit pictures will look better yay!

Bedside Beauty Essentials

Korres hand cream
It's been about a year since I wrote my last Bedside Beauty Essentials post, so it is time for an update.

Sanctuary Brightening Eye Gel: This is a light, refreshing eye gel that lightly hydrates the delicate eye area. It is easy to use and fast absorbed. I don't suffer from intense dark circles or lines under my eyes and this product hasn't made a visible difference.

Korres Nourishing Hand Cream: A lightweight, super nourishing and softening cream that leaves skin feeling very soft and lightly scented with a sweet almond smell. I got this as a xmas gift a couple years back and even though it's a bit pricey I think it is worth the splurge if you're looking to treat yourself.

Vaseline Rosy Lips: I received this as a gift. It has a nice sheer pink tint that looks natural and leaves a slightly glossy look on the lips. Softens out any rough skin but doesn't seem to intensely nourish.

Sure Maximum Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Cream

Sure Maximum Protection
Recently I received the Sure Maximum Protection Anti-Perspirant in the scent Confidence to try out and share my thoughts about it. An anti-perspirant or deodorant is a very basic hygiene product that's used everyday, but when it offers something different to all the other products on the market, it can become something quite revolutionary.

The Sure Maximum Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Cream is elaborated with TRI-solid technology, which is body responsive and consists of three things: the maximum wetness protection ever from the Sure brand, encapsulated odour-fighting technology, and a skin moisturising ingredient.

It can be applied in the morning but it is recommended that you put it on before going to bed as while you rest the TRI-solid formula builds a strong level of protection, which lasts throughout the following day, even after a shower.

The first couple of times I used the Sure Maximum Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Cream in Confidence, I applied it in the morning. The skin under my arms remained dry the whole entire day and prevented any unwanted scent. But I also wanted to test it after showering without reapplying, so I put it on at night, showered the next morning and did not apply it again. The product still worked perfectly, which was amazing.

However, even after the first use, at the end of the day my underarms were starting to get a bit itchy. And when I left it on overnight, the next day the itchiness was definitely there. I did not reapply again as now I was completely sure that it was the product that caused it, but the itchiness lasted for a few more days, even after washing thoroughly, plus it can feel like it leaves a bit of a residue on the skin.

Unfortunately I wouldn't purchase this product because of the reaction it caused me, but it is nonetheless a very effective deodorant.

Looking for a Place to Stay in London?

apartment rental in London
London is such a beautiful city with plenty of things to do at any time of the year. Because it is such an appealing and busy tourist destination, the price of accommodation can be quite expensive, eating into your shopping/sight-seeing/activity money and leaving you with a more restricted budget for said things.

Also, the more you would like to do whilst in London, the more time you would need, and so to not end up your holiday completely exhausted and feeling overwhelmed with so much packed into a tiny schedule, you need to pace yourself and plan how many days you need to stay in order to do everything on your list, which takes us back to the previous point: staying over for longer = less money to do stuff.

Maybe you've thought about hostels, but the idea of sleeping in the same room as people you don't know and also sharing a bathroom with them might not seem very appealing. You could try a hotel, but that would definitely cost a whole lot more than staying in a hostel, though if you manage to find a decently priced one it might not be as well located. Or you could try renting an apartment.

You might be wondering if renting an apartment is a viable solution as perhaps you imagined it being a more pricey option since you get a lot more than you do when booking a hotel or a hostel room: a private bathroom, kitchen, dining area, lounging space and sometimes even a garden. What if I told you that you could find a cheap short term let from just £38 per night? That's even cheaper than some hostels in London!

Short Let London has over 200 short stay apartments in London for rent, located in Central, North-West and West London areas which are extremely close to good public transport links such as bus stops and tube stations, making your stay more convenient and easy. The holiday apartments are equipped with a double bed, fully fitted kitchen, TV and Wifi connection, which means that you'll save money by eating in and won't have to wait until you get back home to share your holiday pictures online.

So next time you think about visiting London remember to consider staying at an apartment.
