Jurlique Rare Rose Serum & Cream

A couple of weeks ago I was kindly gifted the Jurlique Rare Rose Serum & Cream.

The Rare Rose range is designed to intensely boost moisture to help replenish, hydrate and restore skin's radiance.

The Jurlique Rare Rose Serum* comes packaged in a pink cardboard box with the Jurlique logo embossed on the front. Inside it contains a weighted pink frosted glass bottle that looks and feels luxurious and pretty.

The only think I did not love about the packaging is the cap, that while it protects the pump from being pressed accidentally, it does not cover the nozzle so any leftover product in it can dry out.

Notable ingredients include nourishing Rosehip and Safflower Oils, Jurlique Rose and Dwarf Lilyturf Root extracts to protect from moisture loss (the latter being a botanical hyaluronic acid alternative); soothing Calendula and Lavender extracts, plus vitamin E.

The Jurlique Rare Rose has a beautiful scent of fresh roses and a lightweight gel texture that absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it soft and hydrated. It has a velvety finish on the skin and also seems to reduce redness.

The delightful rose scent lingers on the skin and can be perceived even hours later.

Even though the Jurlique Rare Rose Serum includes oils, it never feels heavy or greasy so I believe it would make a great hydrating and soothing serum for all skin types.

The Jurlique Rare Rose Cream*, like the serum, comes packaged in a pink cardboard box with the Jurlique logo embossed on the front. The pink glass jar features smooth glass, a white cap with the Jurlique logo and a stopper inside.

Notable ingredients include nourishing Rosehip Seed Oil and Cupuacu Butter (a botanical hyaluronic acid alternative), plus Jurlique's blend of Rose, Lavender, Marshmallow Root, and Calendula extracts for radiant and soothed skin.

The Rare Rose Cream has a beautiful rose fragrance (although slightly warmer and less intense than the serum) however, it is also perceivable a couple of hours after application. I believe this is due to the slow-releasing microcapsules of Jurlique Rose Extract, which continue to moisturise the skin throughout the day.

Only a small amount is needed to cover the whole face and neck. It has a medium consistency and does not feel heavy on my oily skin, providing light moisture without looking or feeling greasy. It leaves skin with a very glowy, hydrated and radiant appearance.

Athough it is designed for normal to dry skin, I believe it would also be suitable for oily skin even if only used as a night cream.

Have you tried Jurlique products?
