Last week I was kindly sent the Haloway Insulated Hydroloft™ Jacket to try and review. Even though it's almost spring, it's still quite cold (we've had some hailstone action in the past couple of days) so it's no surprise that this jacket is coming very handy.
One of the first things I noticed when I tried the Haloway Jacket on is how lightweight it is, which makes it very comfortable, easy to wear and layer over clothes. It has a nice, feminine shape that goes in at the waist and a very subtle dog tooth print finish on the fabric.
As mentioned before, the jacket features synthetic Hydroloft™ insulation, which is highly breathable and does not absorb water, while the use of body mapping and water & wind resistant fabric ensures you get warm where you need it the most. The Haloway Jacket also provides added protection with an adjustable & detachable hood, fitted cuffs and two zipped felted pockets.
After a couple of days wearing this jacket I can definitely say that it is wind resistant (I haven't fully tested it in the rain so can't comment on water resistance) it's very comfortable and warm. The only issue I had was with the zip, which proved troublesome when trying to do it up but with a bit of practice I got there in the end. Overall, I would recommend this jacket if you are looking for a durable, good quality outerwear piece that will protect you from the weather and last you many years.
