Last Saturday my husband and I went to see the David Bowie Is exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
With the tickets we got a meal deal for the Hard Rock Cafe, so we had a 2 course meal there before heading to the museum.
The exhibition consisted of lots of Bowie's original outfits, including the light blue suit he wore for the Life on Mars? video and the jacket and trousers pictured above, featured in a live performance of Starman.
There was also handwritten lyrics and sheet music for some of his songs; lots of pictures, projections and short films of him. I even spotted the puppet from his Where Are We Now? video.
Of course I had to get some Bowie paraphernalia at the end of the journey so I selected a few postcards with his picture and the handwritten lyrics for Ziggy Stardust on them, as well as pencils, an eraser, a mirror and a magnet with the picture of my favourite Bowie album: The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.
I obviously loved the exhibition and absolutely recommend it to any David Bowie fan like me ♥ (FYI my blog's name comes from a Bowie song).
David Bowie Is exhibition from March 23 to 11 August 2013 at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
Do you like David Bowie?
