Neogen Real Bakuchiol Firming Serum

Neogen Real Bakuchiol Firming Serum

Neogen Real Bakuchiol Firming Serum

Last week I received the Neogen Dermalogy Real Bakuchiol Firming Serum, which was kindly sent to me by YesStyle to try and review.

The Neogen Real Bakuchiol Firming Serum contains a 10% Phyto-Retinol Firming Booster that helps create firm, smooth and radiant skin. The 10% refers to a complex of ingredients which includes Blackberry extract and moisturisers, which can be a bit misleading as it only contains 100ppm of Bakuchiol, so I thought it was worth mentioning.

As I've only used it once (last night) this will be a first impressions post about it, however when I've used it for longer I will be updating this post or writing a new one.

This violet energy and elasticity boosting serum contains Bakuchiol, which is a natural ingredient found in plants that has similar effects to retinol and helps fight signs of ageing; Blackberry Extract, which is rich in antioxidants, and plant derived Squalane for moisture.

Other notable ingredients include Glycerin, Niacinamide, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, Lupine Extract and Protein, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, two forms of vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate and Ascorbic Acid), Vitamin E; Gardenia Florida, Aloe Leaf and Eggplant Extracts; Tea Tree,  Geranium, Clary Sage and Lavender Essential Oils; Sodium Hyaluronate, Guaiazulene, plus Oils of Olive Fruit and Sunflower Seed.

The Neogen Real Bakuchiol Firming Serum contains many moisturising, soothing, hydrating, antioxidant and brightening ingredients that will help improve the look and texture of skin without irritating it or drying it out.

This serum has lightly moisturising properties that might leave a slight tackiness on the skin however I don't mind it at all as I will always follow with a moisturiser afterwards. It also smells of lavender and has a low to medium viscosity, which I wasn't expecting as imagined it being more runny but was pleasantly surprised as I find watery serums harder to apply. It also has a light violet tint to it, which must come naturally from the Blueberry Fruit Extract as this serum contains no coulorants.

The packaging feels very luxurious because of the silver box with purple accents, and the hefty lilac frosted glass bottle with contrasting white details is very nice to hold, use and even just look at.

Overall this serum sounds very promising and can't wait to see what the long term results from using it will be. I would recommend it to anybody looking for a gentle moisturising, brightening and smoothing serum, or an alternative to retinol to use during the summer.

You can find the Neogen Real Bakuchiol Firming Serum at YesStyle with 19% off, plus you can get some extra money off with code NAV2019.
